Our Impact on Turnout
In 2018, the Massachusetts Voter Table had 61,687 conversations with voters, sent 210,543 text messages to voters, and registered 4,8000 voters, resulting in 272,230 voter contacts. We created a target universe for the “Rising Massachusetts Electorate” to coordinate outreach to less likely voters. From our analysis, 69 percent of voters in our target universe, when contacted by an MVT partner organization, turned out to vote, a 9.5% increase within our target universe. These effects were especially pronounced among voters of color and young voters.
